Clarence D. Sargent, 70 years old, died this morning at his home, 1217 W. Huron St., following a brief illness. He was born in Lynn, Mass., April 6, 1873, but came to Ann Arbor from Detroit six years ago. He was an employe of the Buhr Machine Tool Co.
Mr. Sargent was a member of the Masonic lodge, the Commandery, the Consistory and the Moslem Shrine, all of Detroit. In 1911 he organized the Shrine band.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Duddleson Sargent, and a brother, Benjamin Sargent, Lynnfield Centre, Mass.
Funeral services will be held at the Muehlig chapel at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with Rev. William P. Lemon officiating. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel.
