125 SKATERS IN ANNUAL CARNIVAL ON SUNDAY NIGHT

A horse on skates, surprise comedy and novelty numbers are just part of the program which will be presented in the ice carnival to be held by the Ann Arbor Figure Skating club at its annual frolic to be held at 8 o’clock Sunday night at the Michigan ice rink.

More than 125 skaters will participate in the two-hour show, including 75 members of the Junior Figure Skating club in costume. It will be by far the most varied program ever held since the local carnival was started.

Two of the outstanding skaters to appear include Pvt. Wilhelm Junker and Lt. Melvin Flegal who are stationed with the Army unit on the campus. Flegal is the director of the show. Pvt. Junker, formerly of the Commonwealth club of Boston, qualified in 1943 for the national dance competition.

There will be solo and pair skating numbers, group comedy numbers as well as a demonstration of the intricate required routine of national figure skating competition.

Tickets for 85 cents and $1.10 are on sale.
