Emanuel Fiegel, 81, died this morning at his home, 9821 Waters Rd., in Freedom township, after a short illness.
He was born on Sept. 23, 1862, on the farm where he died and where he had lived all his life. He is survived by two sons, Otto and Arthur, both at home, and by three daughters, Amanda, at home, Mrs. William Zahn of Freedom township, and Mrs. Rudolph Zahn of Lima township. Also surviving him are 10 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Hoffman of Ann Arbor, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Thursday afternoon at the home and at 2 o'clock at St. Thomas Lutheran church in Freedom township. Rev. Richard Bierlein will officiate and burial will be in St. Thomas cemetery.
