Mrs. Matilda B. Mummery
Mrs. Matilda B. Mummery, widow of the late Dr. Alfred A. E. Mummery, died suddenly on Thursday in Clinton, Wis., where she had resided for the past eight years. The daughter of Albert F. and Katherine Gunther Blaess, she was born April 28, 1881, in Lodi township and his lived in Ann Arbor for the greater part of her life. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Phoebe Beal Circle of King’s Daughters and the Order of the Eastern Star. Her survivors are: two sons, Glenn F. Mummery, Ann Arbor, and Lt. Sam Mummery, in the service at Fresnau, Calif.; two brothers, Charles F. Blaess, Clinton, Wis., and Max A. Blaess, Ann Arbor, and three grandchildren. Rev. Charles W. Brashares will officiate at the funeral service to be held at Muehlig Chapel, 2:30 Sunday afternoon, and burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
