Miss Tracy And Walter Bartell Exchange Vows

Miss Patricia Anne Tracy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester P. Tracy of S. Seventh St., was married to Carpenters Mate, 2/C, Walter G. Bartell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy O. Bartell of Pauline Blvd., at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon in the Michigan League chapel. Rev. C. H. Loucks of the First Baptist church officiated.

The bride chose for her wedding the traditional white satin gown with a fingertip veil attached to a coronet. Her colonial bouquet was of white and red roses.

Miss Betty Anne Curtis of Vaughn St., maid of honor, was attired in blue tulle and carried red roses tied with pink ribbons. The bridesmaid, Miss Barbara Cooke of Linda Vista Ave., wore pink tulle and carried red roses tied with blue ribbons.

Walter Wilkinson of Jackson PI. was his nephew’s best man, while the bridegroom’s brother, Douglas Bartell, and Wallace J. Clemens of Gary, Ind., who served with Mr. Bartell in the Seabees, seated the guests.

A reception was held at the Frank W. Wilkinson home on S. Fourth Ave. After the reception the couple left for a week at the Hotel Statler in Detroit. For going away, the bride wore a black suit with black accessories.

The bride is a graduate of Ann Arbor High school and is employed at Argus, Inc. She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi, business girls’ sorority.

Mr. Bartell, following his graduation from Ann Arbor High school, left for service in the Seabees. He spent 11 months at Pearl Harbor and 11 months on Johnson Island. He returned to Ann Arbor last Monday on a 30-day leave.

Mr. Bartell will report at Detroit on Jan. 8. His bride will remain in Ann Arbor until she will be able to join her husband.
