DEATH COMES TO THOMAS COLVIN
Heart Attack Fatal To Local Businessman

Sought by relatives to join in the welcoming of his son, returned on Navy leave after extended service in the Pacific, Thomas S. Colvin, sr., proprietor of the Ann Arbor Bedding Co., 1003 Broadway, was found dead of a heart attack at his place of business this morning.
Mr. Colvin was born Nov. 22, 1889, in Lexington, Ind., the son of Hugh and Alice Colvin, and came to Ann Arbor in 1920 from Scottsburg, Ind. He organized the Ann Arbor Bedding Co. in 1922 and operated the business throughout the ensuing 24 years. He was married Sept. 21, 1919, to Grace Helmrich of Louisville, Ky. He was an active member of Ann Arbor’s North Side Athletic Association and of the Calvary Evangelical Church.
Mr. Colvin is survived by his widow, Grace; his son, Thomas S., jr., who returned this morning after 16 months of service with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ann Klingensmith of Corpus Christi, Tex., whose husband is in the armed forces and who was planning to leave for Ann Arbor on a visit this morning; one brother, Fred Colvin of Ann Arbor and two sisters, Mrs. L. E. Giltner, Tuckilwa, Ill., and Mrs. Roy B. Kent of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Friends may call at the Muehlig chapel.
