Florists Honor Alfred Goodhew
Ann Arbor Man Will Lecture In New York
Alfred W. Goodhew, Ann Arbor florist, will lecture and demonstrate flower arrangements at the international convention of the Florists’ Telegraph Delivery Association to be held Monday through Wednesday of next week at the Hotel Commodore in New York City.
Goodhew, active for three decades in the local florist establishment founded by his father nearly 60 years ago, has earned wide distinction as an expert in flower arrangement. In 1941 he won an international committee award for artistic flower design. He has specialized in designs including bridal bouquets, floral hats and other original creations.
Attendance at the New York convention will include 3,000 members of the Florists’ Telegraph Delivery Association from throughout the United States and Canada. Goodhew will participate during the full three days of the scheduled meeting.
