Rev. George W. Knepper, pastor of the Memorial Christian church in Ann Arbor from 1911 until 1919, died at his home in Akron, O., Saturday night.
Active as a pastor for nearly half a century, Rev. Mr. Knepper went from Ann Arbor to Spokane, Wash., and then served as pastor of the High St. Church of Christ in Akron for 24 years prior to his retirement in 1941.
Survivors include the wife, Grace D. Knepper, three daughters, Miss Sara Jean and Miss Nancy Lee Knepper and Mrs. L. T. Mikolashek, and a son, George W. Knepper, jr.
Funeral services will be held in Akron tomorrow and the body will be brought to Ann Arbor Wednesday morning. Friends here may call at the Muehlig chapel from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial services will be conducted at Forest Hill cemetery at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.
