Yule Decorations Bring In Prizes
Ralph Steeb, 1428 Golden Ave., today was named winner of the 10th annual Junior Chamber of Commerce Christmas home decoration contest. It was the second victory in two years for the Steeb family.
With a motif showing Santa Claus and his reindeer on the roof and a series of lights spelling "Season's Greeting" to all onlookers, the Steebs took first honors in a field of 40 entries.
First place in the store decoration contest went to the Card and Camera Shop, 303 S. Main St.
Other home prize winners were George Borgert, 1901 Lorraine Pl., second prize, and Max Peet, jr., 1816 Frieze Ave., third prize.
Honorable mention in the home contest went to Albert Fiegel, 2002 Wayne St.; Dr. H. A. Towsley, 1000 Berkshire Rd., and Eugene Hannah, 2110 Shadford Rd.
Prizes in the store competition will be awarded to the second place Fischer Pharmacy, 227 E. Liberty St., and to the third place College shop of the Goodyear Department store at 215 S. State St.
