Edward Barnett, 87, a lifelong resident of Ann Arbor, died early this morning at the home of his son, Stephen A. Barnett, 902 Brown St., after a long illness.
Born on Aug. 4, 1859, a son of Edward and Harriett G. Bacon Barnett, he was married to the former Mary Miller on July 3, 1881. She preceded him in death in 1926.
Surviving are two sons, Frank R. Barnett of Detroit and Stephen of Ann Arbor; three daughters, Mrs. John Beahan, Mrs. Homer Size, and Mrs. Florence Gardner, all of Los Angeles; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Monday afternoon at the Muehlig funeral chapel, with Rev. Theodore Schmale officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
