Harold M. Vaughn Had Directed Co-Op 15 Years
Harold M. Vaughn, announced today his resignation as vice-president and general manager of the Saline Valley Farms Co-Operative, Inc. He said the resignation became effective last Saturday.
The move came as a surprise and was not accompanied by an explanation. Vaughn said his plans for the future were indefinite.
He became vice-president and manager of the organization when it opened 15 years ago. At first the co-op consisted of one farm on 350 acres of land.

Under Vaughn’s management it grew to its present scope of 750 acres given over to farming and related industries. Its 24 families are engaged in dairying, operating a canning factory and plying three produce truck routes.
Vaughn is a graduate of Michigan State College and pursued post-graduate studies at the University of Chicago. He served for a time as Tulsa, Okla., county welfare and social agent before going to Oakland county to a post as agricultural agent.
Mrs. Vaughn has been acting as manager of the canning factory.
