Zion Church Congregation To Honor Stellhorns On Wedding Anniversary

Rev. and Mrs. E. C. Stellhorn will be honored Sunday at a reception commemorating their golden wedding anniversary given by the congregation of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in the church parlors at 3 o'clock.
The Stellhorns were married July 7, 1897, in Sandusky, O., by Dr. S. H. Dornbirer, Mrs. Stellhorn's brother.
At the 10:30 Sunday morning worship service. Rev. Mr. Stellhorn's place on the pulpit will be taken by Rev. Henry O. Yoder.
Following the services, Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Stellhorn will be guests of honor at dinner at the Barton Hills Country Club. Attending the dinner will be Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Yoder, Dr. and Mrs. Chester Stellhorn, of Detroit, and Mrs. Erwin E. Schmidt and family.
In January of this year Rev. Mr. Stellhorn resigned his charge at Zion Evangelical Lutheran, after 30 years of service, but in May agreed to accept the position of pastor-emeritus on the request of the congregation. In 1946 Rev. Mr. Stellhorn celebrated 50 years in the ministry.
The Stellhorns, who live at 120 Packard St., have five children: Dr. Chester Stellhorn of Detroit, Arthur Stellhorn of Manitowoc, Wis., and R. Grant Stellhorn, and Mrs. William Mackensen and Mrs. James Welch, of Washington, D. C.
Assisting in the arrangements for the reception are Mrs. Schmidt, Fred Sodt, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kauper, Ernest Allmendinger, Mrs. Clarence Snyder, Mrs. Raymond Koch, Mrs. Daniel Haas and Clarence I. Buslee.
