At an open house Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. C. Walter Tubbs of E. Huron St. will observe their golden wedding anniversary. They have lived in Ann Arbor for 35 years.

Couple To Mark Golden Wedding At Open House
Mr. and Mrs. C. Walter Tubbs will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house for their friends from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at their home, 921 E. Huron St.
Members of two pioneer Michigan families, the couple was married Aug. 25, 1897. Mrs. Tubbs, the former Cora V. Orcutt, is the daughter of the late Chauncey G. Orcutt who came to Michigan in 1854. Mr. Tubbs is the son of the late Samuel O. Tubbs who came to Michigan in 1834.
Mr. and Mrs. Tubbs spent the first 15 years of their married life on a farm in Scio township, moving to their present address in Ann Arbor in 1912. Mr. Tubbs operated the Tubbs Cleaners for 30 years.
