Ann Livermore, Vincent LaRosa Married In Dexter

DEXTER – Mr. and Mrs. Vincent J. LaRosa are on a short wedding trip to northern Michigan following their wedding Saturday morning in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The bride is the former Miss Ann Livermore, daughter of Mrs. LaVeta Livermore of Dexter and Russell Livermore of Gregory. Mr. LaRosa’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph LaRosa of Dexter.

Rev. Charles T. Walsh performed the ceremony. Mr. Livermore gave his daughter in marriage.

For her wedding gown, the bride chose white marquisette trimmed in French lace with seed pearls. She carried white carnations with an orchid in the center.

Nile green taffeta was chosen by Miss Mary Lovermore, of Dexter, sister of the bride, who was maid of honor. She wore a matching picture hat and carried a colonial bouquet.

Wear Matching Hats

Miss Alice LaRosa of Dexter, sister of the bridegroom, served as bridesmaid and wore lilac taffeta. The second bridesmaid was Miss Kathryn Mast of Dexter, who was attired in pink petal taffeta. Both wore matching picture hats and carried colonial bouquets.

Kandie K. Waggoner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Waggoner of Dexter, was flower girl, wearing yellow marquisette. Douglas Titus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dorr Titus of Detroit, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Robert LaRosa of Dexter, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

Seating the guests were Wayne Waggoner, Alton Steinaway, William Utsler, all of Dexter and Vincent LaRosa of Pinckney.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was held at the Masonic Temple for the immediate family and out-of-town guests.

A reception was held both in the afternoon and evening at the K. of C. hall. Mrs. Charles Quinn and Mrs. Steven Sortor, both of Dexter, aunts of the bridegroom, were co-hostesses at a buffet supper served during the evening.

Mrs. Alton Steinaway, another aunt of the bridegroom, also of Dexter, was in charge of the guest book.

Rolland Service and his orchestra from Ann Arbor provided music for dancing at the evening reception.

Before her marriage the bride was employed at the Dexter Savings Bank; Mr. LaRosa is in business with his father in Dexter. Both are graduates of Dexter High School. The bridegroom served two years in the Army in Europe.
