Carnival Program To Be Held At St. Andrew’s

A church supper and evening's entertainment are in store for members of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Tuesday, beginning with supper at 5:30 in conjunction with a building fund benefit to raise money for construction of new church buildings. Main event will be a Mardi Gras carnival starting at 6 o’clock and lasting until 11 o’clock, complete with dancing for young and old. The building fund has now reached about $115,000 with $85,000 to go before present plans can be carried out. Enjoying a practice session above are, left to right, Leon Roach, 1507 Wells St., drum major; Mrs. Grace Ebelke of 1601 Brooklyn Ave., the queen; John Gwin of 1505 Golden Ave., the devil; Ward Peterson, 1825 Minerva Rd., the king; and Nancy Ebelke (daughter of Mrs. Ebelke), the little ballerina.
