BETTY DE GUISE IS MARRIED TO BOYD GRANGER

Vows uniting in marriage Betty de Guise and Boyd W. Granger were exchanged at 7:30 Saturday evening in the First Baptist Church, Rev. C. H. Loucks officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. de Guise of Minglewood Ave. Mr. Granger is the son of Mrs. A. C. Granger of Ludington.
Wearing a colonial style gown of white rosepointe lace and white silk net, the bride carried a shower bouquet of red roses and white violets centered by cybidium orchids.
Rosepointe lace fashioned the high-necked bodice and long sleeves, and the white silk net skirt was ruffled and hooped and fell into a train. Her veil was caught to a bonnet of rosepointe lace.
As maid of honor, Miss Diane Polkinghorne of Detroit wore champagne gold satin with matching mitts. She carried a hand bouquet of talisman roses and violets and wore roses and violets in her hair.

Carry Roses
Teal satin gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Miss Merilyn Granger, of Ludington, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Mary Kay Theurer and Miss Margaret Hallam of Detroit, sorority sisters of the bride. Their bouquets and headdresses were of gold roses and violets.
The flower girl was Nina Frances Hill of Detroit, who wore champagne gold satin and carried a basket of spring flowers.
Tom Bayless of Cleveland, cousin of the bride and fraternity brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Lamar Kishlar of Webster Groves, Mo., Tom ZurSchmiede of Grosse Pointe, Stanley Dale of Evanston, Ill., and Thomas Butler of Niagara Falls, N. Y., fraternity brothers of the bridegroom, ushered.
At the reception in the church parlors, Mrs. E. L. Smith of Ft. Thomas, Ky., and Mrs. S. O. Wheeler of South Blvd. poured. Assisting were Mrs. I. A. Navarre of Long Shore Dr., and Mrs. F. E. Shurtliff of Olivia Ave.

Is Hostess
Mrs. M. B. Feiner of Crest Ave. served as hostess and Miss Betty Addington of Cleveland, O., was in charge of the guest book.
When the couple left for a week in Chicago the bride was attired in a gray suit dress with a green coat and the orchid corsage from her bridal bouquet.
The couple will live at 908 W. Liberty St. until the bride’s graduation from the University. They plan in the future to make their home on the West Coast.
The bride is a junior at the University and is a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Mr. Granger, a graduate of the University Engineering School, is affiliated with Sigma Chi fraternity.
