First Of Astronomy ‘Visitors’ Programs To Be Held Tonight

First of the Visitors’ Nights planned by the University's department of astronomy during the fall semester is scheduled for tonight at 7:45 in Angell Hall.

Dr. Carl A. Bauer will give a short talk entitled "An Illustrated Story of the Moon” in room 3017 Angell Hall.

Following the talk, the student observatory on the fifth floor will be open until 10 o'clock for observations of the moon and Jupiter provided the sky is clear.

All interested persons are welcome, but children must be accompanied by adults, said Dr. Leo Goldberg, chairman of the department of astronomy.

Thursday night, Oct. 6, the University Observatory, opposite University Hospital, will be open from 8 to 10:45 for observations of the total eclipse of the moon.

Five other Visitors' Nights on Fridays were announced by Dr. Goldberg, Oct. 14 and 28, Nov. 11 and 25, and Dec. 1.
