Classes In Ceramics, Sculpture To Be Conducted By Potters Guild

Enrollment for ceramics and sculpturing classes to be conducted by the Potters Guild will be conducted from today through Friday at the Guild’s studio at the rear of 335 Maynard St.

Pottery instruction, both for beginning and intermediate students, will be given by Miss Mary Kring, a graduate of the University College of Architecture and Design.

The sculpture lessons will be given by Mrs. Ellen Colmar-Bernkopf, who received most of her training in European countries.

Hours for registration will be from 12 noon until 5:30 in the afternoon and from 7:30 to 8:30 at night.

The fee for an eight-week session will be $8 plus a laboratory charge of $4, except that a reduced fee will be asked for instruction in hand-moulding of pottery. In the regular pottery course, a potter’s wheel is available.

Three sections have been arranged for pottery classes. One will meet from 7 to 10 o’clock Tuesday nights, the second at the same time on Wednesday nights, and the third from 9 to 12 noon Saturday mornings.

Beginning sculpture will be taught from 1 o’clock until 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon and advanced sculpture from 7 o’clock to 10 o’clock Thursday nights.

Other information may be obtained by telephoning Mrs. John Waite at 5631, or Mrs. Clifford Sunblad at 2-1595 or 2-9415.
