Retired Actor Succumbs
After Five-Year Illness
William Slade, 65, a retired actor, died this morning at his home, 1223 Hill St., after an illness of five years.
He was born Aug. 26, 1884, at Manchester, England, and came to this country from Canada. He had been a resident of Ann Arbor for the past 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Yerex Slade; two sons, William and James of Ann Arbor; and a daughter, Miss Marjorie Slade of Ann Arbor.
The body is being taken to Central Lake, Mich., where funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon from the Diton Funeral Home.
