Mrs. Lena Jones
Chelsea Woman, 58,
Was A. R. Jones' Widow
CHELSEA - Mrs. Lena Jones, 58, widow of Albert Roy Jones, died at her home, 628 S. Main St., Chelsea, yesterday afternoon.
Mrs. Jones was born March 2, 1892, in Carson City, Mich, a daughter of Edward and Phila Chase Jordan.
She was married to Mr. Jones Aug. 2, 1910, in Detroit. The couple moved 28 years ago to Chelsea, where Mr. Jones was in the automobile repair business and had the Hudson sales agency for a time. Mr. Jones died Sept. 24, 1948.
Mrs. Jones was a member of Olive Lodge No. 108 of the Order of Eastern Star; and a past grand of the Chelsea Rebekah Lodge No. 130.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George W. Thompson of White Pigeon, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Ray Riley of Battle Creek; and one brother, Guy Jordan of Vicksburg, Mich.
Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Miller Funeral Home, Chelsea, Rev. William H. Skentelbury officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Battle Creek, at 3 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home.
