Frank Rutherford
Retired Farmer Dies
In Ypsilanti at 80
YPSILANTI - Frank Rutherford, 80, a retired farmer, died this morning at the home of his son, Elmer A. Rutherford of 48475 E. Michigan Ave.
He had farmed around Cherry Hill from 1918 to 1947.
He was born Feb. 23, 1870, in Plainfield, Ill., a son of Wilson and Lucretia VanDerVoort Rutherford. He was married to Kizzie A. Funk in Joliet, Ill., in 1887. She died Aug 17, 1947.
Mr. Rutherford had been a member of Camp 938, Modern Woodmen of America, for more than 60 years.
Surviving are a daughter, S. Blanche L. Rutherford of Belleville; two sons, Elmer A. of Belleville and Raymond F. of Ypsilanti; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Moore Funeral Home, Rev. Harley C. Sipe of Emmanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
