Families in the Sutton School District will celebrate, with a potluck dinner Sunday noon, the 75th anniversary of the school building. It will be a homecoming affair for the Joy Rd. - Pontiac Trail neighborhood where the school is located. On this same site the first school building, a log cabin, was built in 1828 by Benjamin Sutton. Miss Miranda Leland, its first teacher, began holding classes in 1829.
