Football Uniforms
Mrs. Mary A. Bullock, 91, a resident of Ann Arbor for the past 64 years, died last night at her home, 1015 S. State St., after a long illness.
Mrs. Bullock is thought to be the first woman to make football uniforms and sweater insignia for the University's teams.
She was born May 27, 1858, in Detroit, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Kellog. She was married to A. C. Fingerle in 1878 at Lansing. She married Sterling Bullock in Ann Arbor in 1915.
Mrs. Bullock was a member of the United Auxiliary of the Spanish War Veterans.
She is survived by two sons, Clarence J. and Earl Fingerle; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of Ann Arbor.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Staffan-Hildinger Funeral Home, Rev. Ellsworth Koonz officiating. Burial will be made in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
