Quick Police Work Helps Choking Girl
It's-all-in-a-night's-work Dept.:
Shortly before 10 o'clock last night, Mrs. John W. Harberd of 930 Woodlawn Ave. called police to report that her daughter, six-week-old Deborah, was strangling on an aspirin tablet.
Officers Louis Gardner and Michael Katapol took charge as is related in their report:
"Took her (Deborah) by the feet and gave her a good jerk."
Doctors at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital said the jerk did the trick.
