Had Lived In Howell For Past 43 Years
HOWELL - James Meabon, 83, a resident of Howell for the past 43 years, died this morning at his home, 510 McCarthy St.
Mr. Meabon was born May 9, 1867, in Iosco township, Livingston county. He was married to the former Hattie Britten April 12, 1885. She died in 1928.
Mr. Meabon is survived by a son, Ernest of Howell; two daughters, Helen at home, and Mrs. Myra Hawkins of Detroit; a brother, George of Pinckney; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Kellogg of Howell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Schnackenberg Funeral Home, Howell. Burial will be made in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
