Wearing the safety patrol boy's white belt of authority is usually the trust of the elementary schools' elder classmen - the sixth graders. But at Fritz School, third graders took over the job this year, and ably too, says Principal Louise Ritsema. Fritz acquired the youngest safety patrol squad in the city this year, because it had to send its higher grades to other city schools for lack of space.
