Friendly Corner Restaurant Reopens
The Friendly Corner, a restaurant and soda fountain at 214 N. Fourth Ave. reopened today under the management of Mrs. Dorothy Griffel.
Since it was temporarily closed last November, it has been remodeled and re-equipped. It now has a seating capacity of almost 50 persons. A new blue and gold interior decorating scheme has been applied throughout, including the new tables and chairs. A candy and cigaret counter has been added.
Store hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 - p.m. on Saturdays. It will be closed Sundays.
Mrs. Griffel's husband is owner of the establishment, which first opened in December, 1947.
