Lifelong Resident of Webster Township Dies
DEXTER - Mrs. Hattie A. Kenny, 82, the wife of Bert Kenny, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 6510 Webster Church Rd., Webster township, after a year's illness.
Mrs. Kenny was a lifelong resident of Webster township. She was born in that township on Aug. 13, 1869, a daughter of George and Elizabeth Gregory Phelps. She was married to Mr. Kenny on Feb. 13, 1890. He survives.
Mrs. Kenny attended Dexter High School. She was a member of the Webster Congregational Church, a member of the Webster Missionary Society and the Webster Grange.
Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Baylis, Mrs. Donna Baldus and Miss Bertha Kenny; three sons, Munnis, George, and John; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Nancy Phelps and Miss Sarah Phelps, both of Ann Arbor.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Webster Congregational Church, Rev. Asa Compton officiating. Burial will be in Webster Cemetery. Friends may call at the Carl Keehn Funeral Home until noon Monday. The body will lie in state from 1 o'clock Monday afternoon until the hour of service.
