Dr. D. E. Standish
Former Ann Arbor Dentist Succumbs
Dr. Delmer E. Standish, 60, a former Ann Arbor dentist, died at
the home of his daughter in Birmingham last night following a long illness.
Dr. Standish was born in Ann Arbor on June 27, 1892, a son of Fred and Mary Standish.
He was graduated from Ann Arbor High School and the Univer-
sity School of Dentistry in 1915, remaining in private practice here until 1941. He practiced in Detroit until 1951.
Dr. Standish was a member of the Elks Lodge of Ann Arbor and a former member of the Kiwanis Club here. He was a member of the American Dental Society and was a former secretary of the Washtenaw County Dental Society.
Survivors included his daughter, Mrs. William N. Haas of Birming-ham; a son, Myles A. Standish of 1014 Berkshire Rd.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel where the Rosary will be said 8 p.m. Friday.
