Mrs. Snidecor
Was Former County WCTU President
Mrs. Minnie M. Snidecor, 79, died today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jacob Dumler in Dearborn. She was born May 8, 1873, in Wayne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Morey.
Mrs. Snidecor married Herbert C. Snidecor in Ypsilanti on Sept. 21, 1893, where they made their home. Mr. Snidecor died Jan. 4, 1933.
She was a member of the Methodist Church for 50 years and a former county president of the WCTU, of which she was a member for 40 years.
Mrs. Snidecor was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Ila Sutton, who died June 3, 1949.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. W. G. Sherman of Pontiac, Mrs. William Breining of Owosso, Mrs. Carol Herbert of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Jacob Dumler of Dearborn; one brother, William Morey, sr., of Ypsilanti; one sister, Mrs. Florence Burd of Ypsilanti; and 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ypsilanti Methodist Church, Rev. W. Clyde Donald officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Stevens & Bush Funeral Home in Ypsilanti until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.
Donations are being received for a Minnie M. Snidecor memorial fund which will be dedicated to the church.
