Mrs. Agnes Parsons
Former Resident of Dexter Passes
Mrs. Agnes E. Parsons, 82, formerly of Dexter died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Messner, in Grosse Pointe Farms, where Mrs. Parsons had lived for the past 12 years. She had been ill for a long time.
Born July 27, 1870, in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England, she was a daughter of William and Carolyn Winsor Clark. She came to this country in 1875, living in Webster township.
On March 18, 1891, she was married to William Parsons in Webster township. He died in 1940. A daughter, Carolyn May, died in 1911.
Mrs. Parsons was a member of the Macabees, the Dexter Congregational Church, and the Seniors' Club of Grosse Pointe Memorial Center. She was a past president of the Senior Sixteen group of Grosse Pointe.
Surviving besides her daughter are two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Muehlig Chapel, with Rev. Edward H. Redman officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
