Lifelong Resident of Whitmore Lake Passes

WHITMORE LAKE—J. Hyatt Krasny, 32, of 9977 Main St., a State Highway Department employee, died last night in St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, after a one-week illness.

A lifelong Whitmore Lake resident, he was a graduate of Ann Arbor High School and had been employed as a mechanic with the highway department for the last several years.

He was a member of the Whitmore Lake Methodist Church.

Mr. Krasny was born on Dec. 13, 1920, in Whitmore Lake, a son of Mrs. Vera Hyatt Krasny, with whom he made his home, and the late Amil Krasny.

Surviving besides his mother are two brothers, John of Chicago and Hubert A. Krasny of Ann Arbor, and a sister, Mrs. George Stutebille of Dearborn. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Whitmore Lake Methodist Church, with Rev. Asa T. Compton officiating. Burial will be in lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel, Ann Arbor, until 1p.m. Sunday. The body will lie in state at the church from 2 p.m. until the hour of service.
