Mrs. Grossman

Mrs. Barbara R. Grossman, 93, of 811 W. Liberty St., a lifelong Ann Arbor resident and wife of the late Michael Grossman, died early this morning at her home after a brief illness.
Mrs. Grossman was born on Sept. 5, 1859, in Ann Arbor in a house which is still standing at 1048 W. Liberty St. She was a daughter of Thomas and Rosina Katz Rauschenberger.
She was married to Mr. Grossman on Feb. 17, 1881. He died on Oct. 27, 1938.
She was a member of Bethlehem Evangelical and Reformed Church and an honorary life member of the church's Ladies Aid Society.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur T. Grossman of Ann Arbor and Dr. Lawrence Grossman of Saginaw; two grandchildren, Mrs. Rodney Stauffer of Saginaw and Mrs. Robert L. Brigham of Ann Arbor.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. William Arnold, jr., of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Homer Wood of Hillsdale and Miss Mary Rauschenberger of Ypsilanti; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Muehlig Chapel, with Rev. Walter S. Press officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
