Third And Fourth Ward Supervisors |

To help guide Ann Arbor residents in voting at the April 6 city election, The News publishes material on the candidates compiled by the League of Women Voters, a non-partisan organization. Today, The News presents information about and views of supervisor candidates in the. Third and Fourth Wards. The questions asked of the candidates are as follows:

1) Generally speaking, what do you think will he the major problems facing the Board of Supervisors during the coming year? Please list according to your view of importance.

2) Do you think that the present county revenues can provide sufficient funds for the solution of those problems which need immediate attention? If yes, please explain. If no, why isn’t it sufficient and what do you think can be done to increase the funds?

3) What do you think of publishing a simplified financial statement showing all county revenues and expenditures for distribution to all taxpayers?

4) Would you be willing to approve the financial support necessary to provide properly qualified personnel for the handling of juveniles requiring the community's attention, plus improved physical detention facilities? Please explain.

5) Is there anything else for which you will seek action in the event you are elected?
