Serenus W. Gakle, 44, parts serviceman and former sales man, died suddenly this morning at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital. He lived at 628 Fountain St.

Huron Motor Sales Employe Succumbs

Serenus W. Gakle, 44, parts serviceman for the Huron Motor Sales, Inc., and former salesman, succumbed at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital this morning after a brief illness. He lived at 628 Fountain St.

A native of Ann Arbor, Mr. Gakle had been employed by the Huron Motor Sales firm for the past nine months. Prior to that, he was a salesman with Benz Motors, Inc.

He was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church of Ann Arbor, its Holy Name Society and the Elks of Ann Arbor.

He was born in Ann Arbor on Feb. 4, 1909, a son of Arthur and Agnes Donegan Gakle. Mr. Gakle was married to Mary Lyons of Ann Arbor on Feb. 4, 1929. Mrs. Gakle survives.

Other surviving are a son, John A., stationed on a Navy carrier; a daughter, Miss Serene A. Gakle, at home; and two sisters, Mrs. Gerald Wisemyer of Detroit and Mrs. Harry Michels of Allen Park.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church and burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
