Succumbs At Age 77

terday afternoon at his home, 1515
S. State St. He had been ill for
nine months.
Born on Nov. 9, 1875, he was a
•' of Francis and Mary Sprague
. . ilflet. He was married on Sept.
26, 1899, to Metta Owen of Te-
cumseh, who survives.
Mr. Stofflet operated the College
Inn, formerly located on E. Lib-
erty St., and later on State St. for
26 years. He had been in the paint-
ing and decorating business for the
past 20 years.
He was a member of the Knights
of Pythias.
Surviving besides his wife are
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at.
2 p.m. tomorrow at the Stofflet
residence, with the Rev. Philip L.
Schenk officiating. Burial will be
in Forest Hills Cemetery. Friends
may call at the residence.
