Free Methodists To Have New Pastor
The Rev. L. D. Voorheis, pastor of the Free Methodist Church here for the past three years, has been assigned to the Wayne Free Methodist Church, it was announced today at the closing of the annual Michigan conference at Jackson.
His successor here will be the Rev. L. D. Gordon of Hillsdale.
The Rev. Mr. Voorheis has completed his second pastorate in Ann Arbor, having been here in the early 30’s and returning in August, 1950. He came here in 1950 from Spring Arbor, where he had been a pastor for five years.
He is married and the father of a daughter, Mrs. David McKenna. He lived at 424 W. Huron St.
Several other new assignments elsewhere in Michigan were also announced today by the Rev. L. R. Marston of Greenville, Ill., senior bishop of the Free Methodist Church.
