Elmer C. Clough, 88, a retired farmer, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a long illness. He lived at 600 W. Washington St.
Mr. Clough was born Dec. 25, 1865, in Lodi township, a son of James and Margaret Blum Clough. He lived on a farm on the Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. until moving here in 1925.
On April 13, 1893, he married Mary Reiser of Manchester, who survives. Mr. Clough was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Besides his wife, survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Oscar H. Pfaus and Mrs. William G. Finkbeiner, both of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Oscar F. Knope of Dexter and Mrs. Paul H. Braun of McMillian, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Muehlig Chapel, the Rev. Walter M. Brandt officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
