Miss Sophie E. Gibbons of 421 Church St. died Sunday morning in Simpson Memorial Institute after a long illness.
Born in Urbana, O., she was a daughter of Orsamus N. and Jennie E. Gibbons. She had lived in Ann Arbor since 1911.
She was a member of the Memorial Christian Church, the Washtenaw County Historical Society and the Women’s Christian Temperance Union.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. C. M. Mote of Royal Oak; a niece and two nephews of Royal Oak; and three aunts of Pasadena, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Muehlig Chapel with the Rev. H. L. Pickerill officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel.
