CHELSEA - Funeral services for Mrs. Christina K. Schiller, 87, of 2820 Fletcher Rd., who died Saturday following a year's illness, were held at 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Zion Lutheran Church, Rogers Corners. Burial was made at the Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Schiller was born May 16, 1867, in Freedom township a daughter of Godfrey Eisemann and the former Anna Maria Hinderer. She was married to Michael Schiller on Oct. 2, 1888. He died in December, 1952. The couple started their married life in a log cabin on the Fletcher Rd. site and rebuilt one home demolished by a tornado.
A member of the Zion Church, Mrs. Schiller also was active in the Ladies' Aid Society.
She is survived by four sons, Julius of Ann Arbor, Albert of Lima, Ernest and Alfred of Freedom township; and four daughters, Mrs. Leon Eschebach of Ann Arbor, Delia of Chelsea, Mrs. Arthur Walker of Manchester and Mrs. LeRoy Heller of Freedom township. A son, Albert, died June 25, 1945, and another son, Emmanuel, died June 20, 1952.
Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Christ Horning of Freedom township; a brother, Emmanuel Eisemann of Freedom township; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
