YPSILANTI - Lewis Bernard Skinner, 82, a retired Ford Motor Co. employe, died today at Beyer Memorial Hospital. He lived at 2046 Merrill Rd., Ypsilanti township.

Mr. Skinner was born March 29, 1873, at Macon, a son of Nelson and Mary Paradise Skinner. On Dec. 18, 1901, he was married to Bertha Allen at Clinton. She died in January, 1946. The couple moved to this area in 1922.

Mr. Skinner, who retired from the Ford Motor Co. in 1945, was a member of the First Methodist Church. He was a life member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, 69, of Belleville, and was a charter member of the Ypsilanti Senior Citizens Club.

Surviving are a son, Bernard of Dearborn; two daughters, Mrs. Albert W. Perry of Chicago and Mrs. Raymond Warren of Ypsilanti, and two grandchildren. Two brothers, C. H. and John P. Skinner, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stevens & Bush Funeral Home, with the Rev. Foster Holt officiating. Masonic graveside services will be held at Macon. Friends may call at the funeral home.
