[image]: GUIDED MISSILE SHOWN HERE: On display in front of North Hall on the University campus is this Matador guided missile from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base at Dayton, O. Using the same jet engine employed in the F-80 fighter plane, the Matador has a maximum speed of more than 650 miles per hour and is controlled electronically by a pilot on the ground. The surface-to-surface missile, costing about $250,000, is on display for instruction of Air Force ROTC students. It is designed to carry an atomic warhead.
