J. Harold Williams, 63, assistant purchasing agent for the Ann Arbor division of the King-Seeley Corp., died outside his home at 610 S. Seventh St. Thursday after suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Williams had been associated with King-Seeley since the firm was organized in 1922. He had been assistant purchasing agent since 1945.
Prior to his 33-year association with King-Seeley, Mr. Williams was with the Motor Products Co.
He was born Jan. 24, 1892, in Dexter, a son of George and Cora Huff Williams, and was married to Anna Hoffman on Oct. 24, 1911. Mrs. Williams survives.
A lifelong resident of Ann Arbor and vicinity, Mr. Williams was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donald H. of Ann Arbor and Norman W. of Tokyo, Japan, a photography editor for the United Press Asiatic Bureau. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Burpo of Salinas, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Wests of Takoma, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Muehlig Chapel, with the Rev. Walter M. Brandt officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be sent to an altar cross fund being organized at Trinity Lutheran Church in memory of Mr. Williams.
