Leaves Argus

Joseph L. Clemens (above)
resigned today as vice-president
and treasurer of Argus, Inc. He '
had been associated with the
company since 1937. No new „
vice-president or treasurer has
been elected to take his place
but David D. Merriman has been i
named comptroller and will take
over the accounting functions -,
formerly directed by Clemens.

Lewis also announced today that
Erhart C. Schlenker, who was as-
sociated with Argus from 1939 to
1944, will return as manufacturing
manager.

His appointment, Lewis said, will
relieve Clinton H. Harris, vice-
president in charge of engineering,
of his production duties and allow
him to concentrate his efforts in
engineering and the development
of the company's new Product pro-
gram, largest in the firm's history.
