Former Bridgewater Farmer Succumbs
Julius G. Haeussler, 69, died Sunday at his home at 1208 S. University Ave. following a long illness.
Mr. Haeussler was born March 7, 1887, in Freedom township, the son of William and Edena Feldkamp Haeussler, and was married to Elsa Rosina Meyer on Feb. 18, 1925. She survives.
The couple lived on a farm in Bridgewater township for 20 years. When Mr. Haeussler’s health failed they moved to the Ann Arbor address in March, 1945.
He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Manchester.
Besides his wife, survivors include three sisters, Miss Amanda Haeussler and Mrs. Ida Gramer, both of Saline, and Mrs. Martha Weber of Ann Arbor.
Other survivors are four brothers, Daniel of Saline township. Oscar and Erwin of Freedom township and Edwin of Bridgewater township; and five nieces and eight nephews. A brother, Fred, and a sister, Miss Johannah Haeussler, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Jenter Funeral Home at Manchester, with the Rev. Carl H. A. Rest officiating. Burial will be in Lodi Plains Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
