Margaret Bell, Prof. Cameron To Be Married
The engagement of Margaret Fairbank Bell of Chicago, and Prof. George G. Cameron of Ottowa Dr. has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laird Bell of Winnetka, Ill.
The couple plans to marry in mid-August and will leave for a year’s study in Germany following their marriage.
Miss Bell was graduated from Bryn Mawr College and studied at the Chicago Art Institute. She had been active in the British War Relief, and at present is the administrative assistant to the director of the Oriental Institute, the University of Chicago. She is a trustee of Carleton College.
Prof. Cameron is chairman of the department of Near Eastern studies at the University of Michigan and a professor of Near Eastern Cultures. He will be a Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Goettingen this fall.
