Circuit Judge James R. Breakey, jr., this morning sentenced Clarence Hawkins, 27, formerly of 838 Short St., Ypsilanti, to a mandatory life sentence in Southern Michigan Prison for murder.
Hawkins was convicted of murder Nov. 30 by a jury. He was arrested Sept. 17 after Dell Cain, 36, of 610 S. Huron St., Ypsilanti was found stabbed to death in a field in Willow Village.
