NEW PUBLIC LIBRARY: Nearing completion at E. William St. and S. Fifth Ave. is the new Ann Arbor Public Library. Cost of the building is about $710,000. Builders were aiming to have the building completed by Aug. 1, but the recent strike of carpenters and laborers has set the date back. Construction firm is the Kurtz Building Co.
