Lived In Pinckney Area For 40 Years
PINCKNEY – Charles J. Smith, 86, a farmer living on Gawley Rd. for the last 40 years, died Tuesday night.
He was born June 26, 1871, in Farmington, a son of Joseph and Mary Smith, and was married to Martha Carr of Farmington.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Bernard, of Redford, and Orville Smith, of Pinckney; and two daughters, Mrs. Ada White and Mrs. Hazel Musson, both of Howell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Swarthout Funeral Home with the Rev. J. W. Winger officiating. Burial will be at the Pinckney Cemetery.
