TRIM TREE: A Christmas tree trimmed with corsages will be featured at the Ann Arbor Garden Club’s annual Christmas show, “The Gardeners at Yuletide,” to be held Thursday at the Women’s City Club. Garden Club Names Committees For Annual Christmas Show

A Christmas tree decorated with corsages will be one of the attractions at the Ann Arbor Garden Club’s annual Christmas show which opens with a salad luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Women’s City Club.

The show, entitled “Gardeners at Yuletide” also will have exhibits of gifts “from gardeners to gardeners” and holiday table settings.

The general chairman of the event, Mrs. F. A. Filie, will be assisted by Mrs. John Dillon and Mrs. David Reed.

Mrs. Herbert Hall heads the group which is designing and making the corsages. It includes Mrs. Lyndon Welch, Mrs. Cruse Moss, Mrs. Ralph Johns, Mrs. C. H. McKinley, Mrs. Larry Robertson, Mrs. Frank Gilbert and Mrs. E. J. Allmendinger.

Others are Mrs. Linus Fike, Mrs. Herbert Johe, Mrs. James Hayward, Mrs. Merle Dixon, Mrs. Otto Greschke, Mrs. John Fraser, Mrs. Carl Hanke, Mrs. Dillon and Mrs. Reed.

The wrappings for the packages will be designed to suggest the contents.

The wrapping committee workers are Mrs. J. C. Bowen, Mrs. Paul Leidy, Mrs. Filie, Mrs. Reed, Mrs. Ralph Berry, Mrs. Leonard Himler, Mrs. Eugene Leslie, Mrs. Lawrence Maugh, Mrs. Raleigh Schorling, Mrs. Gerald England and Mrs. Clinton E. Purdy.

Others are Mrs. Travis Cash, Mrs. Peter B. Olmsted, Miss Florence McLouth, Mrs. William Hiser, Mrs. Robert Ellis, Mrs. James Grace, Mrs. Howard Peckham, Mrs. Carol Benz, Mrs. Carl Anderson, Mrs. R. H. Kingery, Mrs. William Giefel and Mrs. Louis Fead.

The list continues with Mrs. Albert Logan, Mrs. John Brumm, Mrs. Arnold Goss, Mrs. Hugh E. Keeler, Mrs. Bradley Patten and Mrs. Leslie Rittershofer.

Mrs. J. G. Tarboux is chairman of the group making up the holiday table settings. She is assisted by Mrs. Lee D. Young who will make the Christmas Eve supper table arrangement. Mrs. Warren A. Ketchum will do the Christmas dinner table setting.

Mrs. Stanley G. Thayer and Mrs. Peter B. Olmsted will do the children's Christmas table setting, and Mrs. Tarboux will arrange the holiday open house table setting.
